Welcome to Monticello Volleyball Club!

Monticello Volleyball Club is the premier youth volleyball instruction provider in Monticello, IL.  We offer top-notch coaching and instruction to young athletes ages 1st-8th grade. Our experienced coaches provide custom tailored lessons and drills to help players improve their skillset and knowledge.  Whether you are looking to join a competitive team or just looking to brush up on basic techniques, Monticello Volleyball Club has something for everyone!   Our mission is to provide all of our athletes with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed at volleyball and to promote a healthy, active lifestyle. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn, grow, and play volleyball with Monticello Volleyball Club!

2025 Season

Lots of exciting changes are coming to the 2025 season!  This year we will offer a 4th grade team, 11u, 12, 13u, and our first ever 17 u team.   

3rd/4th Grade

We are very excited to have our first 4th grade team this year!  The season will run December- February.  The team will consist of  24 players broken into three teams of 8.  The teams will be evenly distributed based on talent, and all athletes will play all positions.   Small teams will allow for optimal playing time for all players. 

There will be 11 practices held weekly after school from December- February.   Local games and/or scrimmages will be played on Friday nights or Saturdays in Jan/Feb.  We also hope to join a couple tournaments if they are available for this age group.  At the end of the season, we hope to select 10-12 girls to attend a larger tournament that would allow more competitive play.

Registration will open October 1, 2024.  Only 24 spots are available, and they are first come first served. 3rd graders are welcome to register on the wait list. If the team is not filled by October 31st, then 3rd graders will be allowed to join the team until full.   If we have enough 3rd graders register, a 3rd grade team may be formed this year as well. 

11U, 12U, 13U

Our 5th and 6th grade teams previously played in the winter during the middle school volleyball season.  Now that we have a Monticello school travel team, MVC will offer a true club season from March-May for 5th-7th graders.  The teams will practice end of March- early to mid May and participate in several local and travel tournaments.   Tryouts will be held in early February.  Registration for tryouts will open January 1, 2025.  

17U

We are very excited to announce our first 17u team this upcoming season! Practices will run December- February with 4-5 tournaments in Jan-March.  

I started Monticello Volleyball Club in 2022 so my own daughter would have a local place to play volleyball with her friends.  My goal is to not only develop a strong team, but to make sure that each player is getting the individual attention and instruction they need. All of our coaches work hard to make sure that everyone is having a great time, while also helping them to become better teammates and overall volleyball players.
